Mission Statement
Wayside Child Development Preschool is a ministry of Wayside Baptist Church. Our primary function has been ministering to children and their families for 50 years. We seek to reflect Christ’s love by ministering to each child and family in a loving, caring environment. Our goal is to give each child a sense of belonging and to feel safe and secure. In addition, we concern ourselves with stimulating each child’s growth physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Purpose
It is our desire to stimulate each child's growth in effective ways. In each room, as well as the school as a whole, we seek to reflect Christ's love.
Certification
The school has a Child Care Facility Certificate of License from the Florida Department of Children and Families and is involved in the Children’s Trust “Quality Counts” program.
Additional Information
Wayside Child Development Preschool is licensed by the Florida Department of Children & Families (FDCF). Our school far exceeds State requirements with regard to both teacher/student ratio and teacher qualification. All teachers have their Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) and both teachers and aides have completed their 45 hour Child Training Course required by the FDCF, and are provided CPR and First Aid training.
